Our Vision

LifeWise, a Bible education program for public school students, seeks to establish a lasting presence in Columbus Grove, Ohio, by constructing a permanent building to serve as a hub for its mission-

driven work. This facility will provide a dedicated space to empower our community, foster connection, and deliver impactful programs that will uplift residents of all ages. In a town rich with history and

heart, this building will stand as a beacon of hope, growth, and service for generations to come.

THE NEED

For the last 4 years, Columbus Grove LifeWise has operated without a centralized, purpose-built space in Columbus Grove. Our current reliance on shared facilities limits our ability to fully meet the needs of our students. A permanent building will address these critical challenges:

Capacity: Growing demand for our program requires more space to accommodate participants and staff effectively

Stability: A fixed location ensures consistency, making it easier for students to access our services without disruption

Identity: A dedicated building reinforces Columbus Grove LifeWise’s commitment to the village of Columbus Grove and the extending area, strengthening trust and visibility in the community

Accessibility: Current space requires volunteers to lead the children to a second-floor classroom that many of our older volunteers have trouble accessing

Belief: Create a non-denominational Bible-based character learning facility

THE PLAN

We propose a thoughtfully designed facility that balances functionality, sustainability, and community appeal

through the following ways:

Location: We have secured a location directly across from the Columbus Grove Schools, making an easy walk for students to attend

Design: A modern building with flexible spaces—classrooms, meeting rooms, and an office area—built to serve diverse activities

Timeline: Groundbreaking in 2025, with completion targeted for January 1, 2026, pending funding and permits

Budget: Estimated at $650,000 covering land acquisition ($110,000), Building Demolition ($27,000), Asbestos Abatement and removal ($15,000), Architectural Design and Building Permits ($25,000), construction, and initial furnishings, (2700 sq, ft x$150= $405,000) Concrete driveways and parking (2700 x $25 = $67,500)

THE EVIDENCE

Community Support: Initial conversations with Columbus Grove residents and leaders showed enthusiasm for a permanent LifeWise presence, after serving the students of Columbus Grove for the past 4 years at a temporary location

Proven Impact: LifeWise’s existing programs have already touched lives— Serving 170 of the 289 students in 1 st Thru 6 th grade and a permanent space will amplify this reach

Regional Precedent: Similar projects have established dedicated Lifewise buildings in surrounding school districts, including Elida, Allen East, Spencerville, and Paulding
